Amazing Art (or) Monastery of Yoke Sone Kyaung

 Monastery Yoke Sone Kyaung-Salay-Burma - Myanmar: Salay is a colorful old religious center about 1 ½ hours south of Bagan.The Monastery Yoke Sone Kyaung built in 1882 is famous with its spectacular woodcarvings,ancient Buddha images,utensils of Yadanabon 19 century period and the museum of Myanmar famous writer U Pone Nya.

Salay is famous for its Yoke Sone Kyaung (a 19th century wooden monastery) with exquisite wooden carvings. The whole building is built of wood and is a fine example of monastic architecture of the late Konbaung Period.
